The Veranda is a large, beautifully designed and decorated, upscale home created with weddings, family gatherings, retreats, and other larger groups in mind. It is in the most private area of Gulf Shores. A minimum stay of 4 nights is required most of the year, with a 7-night, Saturday-to-Saturday stay required during summer.

The spacious, 100 foot gulf front lot was chosen for its uncrowded location and panoramic view of the turquoise Gulf.

Thanks to the design team, including a nationally renowned architect, it is a beautiful house, inside and out, with a local flavor: shaded veranda on the street side, 'haint' blue porch ceiling, oak flooring, Alabama marble in the powder rooms, and regional artwork.

The casually elegant design blends with the beach: natural hues, accents of blues and greens, and comfortable sofas and chairs inside and on the decks. A gorgeous dune walkover solidifies the connection of the house to the beach.

On the ground (parking) level, a large open area is under the house on the south side. Event lighting, electricity, and stereo speakers that are provided for this level allow for open parties and receptions with or without live music. Stairs from this area ascend to the main deck on the gulf side with it's swimming pool and outdoor kitchen. Or take the elevator up.

On the main level, there is an open floor plan for flow and seating according to the needs of the guests. Large flat screen TV with surround sound, DVD/BluRay player, and Apple TV convert the living room to a media room for families, slide shows for receptions, and power point presentations for meeting groups.

The kitchen, dining area, and a buffet/hutch work together to provide meals for large groups efficiently. Hobbyist chefs will love the Wolf 8 burner gas range, 2 1/2 ovens, infinite refrigerator space, and freestanding commercial ice machine around the corner - along with the beach view even from the kitchen. One rectangular table for 10, two round tables for 5 or 6 each, and bar style seating for 5 or 6 allow 26 + to eat without even leaving the dining area. Three dishwashers, a large trash can, and two sinks simplify cleanup even for large groups.

Three large French doors open onto the largely covered main deck and it's incredible beach view, the dune walkover, the outdoor kitchen with luxury 48' gas grill, and the heated swimming pool with multiple light options for your event. When not listening to the waves, ceiling speakers allow music while enjoying the pool, a cocktail party/reception, sunbathing, or reading a book.

There are two handicap friendly bedroom/bathrooms on the main level, including wide doorways, roll-in showers, grab bars, compliant toilets, roll under sinks, and 5+ foot bathroom turnaround. These beautiful rooms and baths will be enjoyed by all, the southmost of these being right off the main deck with a gorgeous view of the deck and beach from the bed. All 10 of the bedrooms in the house have luxurious beds, a closet, a mirror, private baths, flat screen TVs, ceiling fans, reading lights at both sides of each bed, outlets for electronic devices at the bedside, and best of all: water views - the Gulf to the south, the Lagoon to the north, or a view of both!

The second floor has 5 of the bedrooms, two of these directly gulf front with the 2nd floor living/media room also on the south side in the middle. This room has comfortable seating and all the electronic amenities of the main floor living room. So groups can split up to watch different movies or sports or different power point presentations. Beautiful views of the beach are seen again, and a French door leads to a covered seating area. As on the main deck, this deck also extends the full width of the house, the sides to the extreme east and west being sun decks. These living rooms and decks can accommodate a sizable reception/party and we can provide temporary furniture storage if open floor space is desired. A queen sized sleeper sofa is in the 2nd floor living room.

The third floor (for some) will function as the bride/groom floor. A cozy living room, wet bar, shower for two, jacuzzi tub, walk in closet, and two king beds are on this floor. The bed chambers open onto the top gulf side deck and the elevated views up and down the coast are spectacular.

Balance is due 90 days before arrival date.
