Relax at Resting Beach Face, a Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan beach escape just a few minutes from the sand. Sleeps 10 with 2 king beds, full-over-full bunks, a twin trundle, and a rollaway for flexible sleeping — because vacation is better when nobody draws the short straw. Wake up, grab a coffee, and choose your adventure: two pools or the ocean. Come stressed, leave salty & wearing your resting beach face. Zero reasons to wear real pants!
Resting Beach Face is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan beach cottage made for sandy feet, snack-happy adults, sun-kissed kids, and anyone who needs the stress wiped right off their face.
The home sleeps up to 10 with two king beds, two full beds, one twin trundle and 1 comfy rollaway — because vacation is not the time to fight over sad sleeping arrangements. Two king bedrooms mean the grown-ups can sleep like royalty, while the bunk room keeps the kids, cousins, or extra guests happily tucked away. You choose where the rollaway goes!
The open living area has plenty of seating, a smart TV, and space to flop after the beach, pool, or whatever activity convinced you that “just one more hour in the sun” was a good idea. The dining area seats up to 10, and the fully stocked kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite/quartz counters, cookware, dishes, utensils, coffee makers, an air fryer, indoor grill, extra ice maker, and everything you need to feed your crew without pretending vacation calories count.
The primary bedroom includes a king bed, ensuite full bath with tub, dresser, closet, smart TV, charging stations, linens, toiletries and a small office set up. The second bedroom also includes a king bed, smart TV, dresser, bedside tables with charging ports, sitting chairs, closet, linens, and a rollaway. The third bedroom includes full-size bunk beds, a hidden twin trundle, dresser, sitting chair, charging station, smart TV, and linens.
The screened patio is ready for morning coffee, evening lounging, and judging whether the day calls for beach, pool, nap, or all three. It includes a sofa, chairs, bar stools, breakfast bar, ice bucket, and Keurig — because caffeine and coastal air are a legitimate vacation strategy.
Outside, the private lot gives everyone room to breathe, play, and avoid real responsibilities. Enjoy the firepit, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, hammock, umbrella, cornhole, toss across, yard pong, and propane/charcoal combo grill for the grill master who packed flip-flops and confidence.
Parking is on us! Your stay includes parking for up to two vehicles right at the cottage. Two cars, no more! This isn’t a car show, and the neighbors’ driveways are not overflow parking, no matter how friendly they wave. Bringing more wheels than that? Additional parking passes (two max) may be available starting at $115 per pass, per stay — but they’re first come, first served and not guaranteed, so ask early or draw straws for who stays home.
Families with little ones will find a high chair, two pack ’n plays, infant bath seat, children’s dishes, kids’ floaties, and beach toys. Beach gear includes chairs, tent, umbrella, wagon, and coolers, so you can pack less and beach more.
Guests also have access to two community pools, including a zero-entry pool and kiddie pool. Nearby public beach access is about 3 minutes by car or approved golf cart. Yes, we timed it.
Pets are acceptable upon approval prior to reservation and paid applicable pet fees and registration. Resting Beach Face loves animals, but without approval prior to reservation, this cottage will not be able to accommodate you furry family members.
Come tired. Come over-scheduled. Come with that look on your face. We’ll let the Gulf breeze, beach days, pool time, and porch lounging handle the rest.
There are a few important things to know before booking Resting Beach Face:
**Community Registration**
All guests must be registered with the Rookery III community before arrival. After booking, we’ll send the registration instructions and are happy to help with the process. Registration must be completed before check-in so your arrival is smooth and your vacation does not start with parking-lot confusion. Nobody wants that.
**Parking: Tiny Lot, Big Feelings**
Parking is assigned and limited. The home includes two assigned spaces labeled 4010. Parking passes are required by the community and are included in your stay, with a maximum of two vehicles unless a third vehicle is approved and paid for in advance.
A third vehicle must be requested before arrival, is first come, first served, and is not guaranteed. If approved, the third vehicle fee is $115. Boats, trailers, and extra vehicles are not allowed unless specifically approved in writing before arrival.
Vehicles must display passes at all times while on community property. Vehicles parked without a pass or in another unit’s assigned space may be ticketed or towed by community security. Please only park in the spaces labeled 4010. Other people’s parking spots are not emotional support spaces.
**Golf Carts**
Golf carts do not require a parking pass or assigned parking space, but they must be rented through an approved Rookery vendor. Outside/non-approved golf cart rentals are not permitted under community rules. Think of it as: cart cute, cart compliant.
**Check-In / Check-Out**
Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for a small fee when the calendar and cleaning schedule allow. Please request this in advance so housekeeping does not have to perform Olympic-level miracles.
**Occupancy**
The home may only be used by the number of adults and children listed on the reservation, up to the maximum occupancy allowed. No unregistered overnight guests are permitted. Surprise guests are great for birthday parties, not vacation rental compliance.
**Good Neighbor Policy**
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Guests must be respectful of neighbors, common areas, parking, pool rules, and the peaceful beach-community setting. Illegal activity, disruptive behavior, or violation of community rules may result in removal from the property without refund. Translation: be fun, not feral.
**Pools & Community Amenities**
Guests may use the community pools during posted pool hours, currently 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Guests are responsible for following all posted pool and community rules. Sunscreen encouraged. Cannonball diplomacy required.
**Cameras**
There is a Ring camera on the front porch facing the exterior entry/parking area. There are no cameras inside the home or on the screened patio. The community also has cameras in common areas, including streets, pool areas, and parking areas.
**pet friendly upon approval**
This is a pet friendly property with approval only. There is a pet fee of $150.00 per pet, with a 2 pet maximum. Pets must also be registered prior to approval and be on a leash, at all times when outdoors, and with proof of registration (leash sleeve). Also Please note that other homes in the community may allow pets, so you may see dogs in shared areas. We love furry friends, but if approval isn’t granted at time of reservation, this home will not be able to welcome you furry friend.
**No Smoking Indoors**
Smoking is not allowed inside the home or on the screened patio. Outdoor smoking only. All smoking remnants must be fully disposed of. Evidence of indoor smoking or smoking-related cleanup may result in an additional cleaning fee of up to $500. Beach air: yes. Smoke air: no.
**No Parties or Large Events**
No parties, large gatherings, or events are allowed unless specifically approved in writing before booking. The home is intended for registered guests only. Resting Beach Face loves a good time, but not a neighborhood incident.
**Fire, Grill & Outdoor Use**
No candles, open flames, or fires are allowed inside the home or on the screened patio. No wood-burning fire pits are allowed on the property. Guests may use the provided grill and propane firepit responsibly. Propane tanks are not guaranteed to be full; if a tank needs to be exchanged during your stay, local exchanges are usually available nearby.
Please clean the grill after use and cover the grill/firepit when not in use. Future burger-makers thank you.
**Umbrella & Outdoor Items**
Please close and secure the outdoor umbrella when not in use, when leaving the property, or during windy conditions. Gulf winds can come up quickly, and guests may be responsible for damage caused by leaving the umbrella open or unsecured. Umbrellas are cute. Flying umbrellas are lawsuits with handles.
**Beach Gear & Games**
Beach chairs, wagon, beach tent, umbrella, coolers, skim boards, yard games, and other extras are provided for guest use. Please return all items to their original location clean and in good condition so the next guests can enjoy them too. Please secure the shed door after use. Sharing is caring; returning is required.
**Washer, Dryer & Septic**
Please clean the dryer lint trap after each use. The home has a sensitive septic system, so only toilet paper may be flushed. No wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or other items may be flushed. Please do not pour grease, food, or non-liquid items down drains. The plumbing is charming, not invincible.
**Doors, Windows & Wildlife**
Please keep doors and windows closed and locked when not in use or when leaving the home. This is coastal Alabama, and wildlife is best enjoyed outside. Wildlife entry caused by doors or windows being left open is not eligible for a refund. Lizards are not on the reservation.
**Accessibility**
This property does not provide wheelchair access.
**Maintenance & Property Conditions**
We make every effort to keep the home and amenities in great working order. If you notice a maintenance, housekeeping, safety, or amenity issue, please notify us right away so we can take reasonable steps to address it as quickly as possible. Amenities, appliances, community features, and outdoor items are not guaranteed to be available or operational at all times, and refunds are not provided for issues that are outside the host’s control or that can be reasonably addressed during the stay.
**Beach Safety**
Beach conditions can change quickly. Guests are responsible for checking and following posted beach flags and local water safety guidance.
Beach flag guide:
Double red flags: Water closed to the public
Red flag: High hazard / dangerous surf or rip currents
Yellow flag: Moderate surf or currents; use caution
Green flag: Calm conditions
Purple flag: Dangerous marine life may be present
Yellow flag with black circle: No watercraft or surfboards
Windsock: Offshore winds present; inflatables should not be used
**Guest Responsibility & Damages**
Guests are responsible for treating the home, furnishings, linens, outdoor spaces, beach gear, games, appliances, and amenities with care. Guests are responsible for damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, rule violations, fines, or costs caused by the guest or anyone in their party during the stay..
By booking, guests agree to follow the listing details, house rules, community rules, parking requirements, guest responsibilities, and all instructions provided before and during the stay.
Thank you for helping us keep Resting Beach Face safe, beautiful, and ready for many more salty, sandy, stress-free stays.
